Finding Nemo: The Rant
I totally do not get this stupid movie. It’s just a movie about a careless father letting his kid get lost. Think about it, how do you think that little niece turned out, huh? Don’t you think she was devastated about her new fish getting lost? Think of the pain she must have been feeling from all the fish that passed away when they were hers. The people of Disney and Pixar did not consider the poor girl’s feelings. I think this is a stupid movie, who cares about one lost fish? Of all the terrible things going on in the world, society decided to film a movie about a fish. If the father, Marlin as they named him, had taken better care of those eggs then they wouldn’t have been eaten and there would be a different Nemo, one who didn’t get lost. If he did get lost then that would be another fish for the niece but no… they had to go and kill all the innocent fish in the movie. And how about that H2O intolerant seahorse? How is he to live life underwater? He’s a fish, he can’t come out of the water or else he will die. I suppose Disney thinks children enjoy watching innocent seahorses sneeze everywhere the go. Imagine the constant suffering that must be hiding in this animal, having the sniffles everywhere he goes, unable to relieve himself. Now we get to the tiny little turtle. Is he to live his life as a wild child riding currents like a teenager would motorcycles? He needs to settle himself down and have a turtle family. Finally, we come to Dory, the fish with a short-term memory loss. They treat this as a joke. I do not find it funny. It is a serous illness that could cause a person to fall into a lake and drown. They make it funny to the kids now, but they won’t think it’s so funny when they’re sixty; they have it, and can’t tell they’re left from right. In conclusion, I believe that Finding Nemo sends a bad message to children and sea creatures everywhere.
